Reminder about Parking at Sun Valley Casitas
Posted on Sep 16th, 2023

This is just a friendly reminder about a few items about parking at Sun Valley Casitas.

Each unit has an assigned parking space as defined in “Exhibit B - Assignment of Covered Parking Spaces” in the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&R) document associated with our community. Please make sure you are aware of your assigned ‘covered’ parking space and that you are not preventing others from using their assigned space by parking in full or in part to another assigned spot. Uncovered parking spaces are for general use, but please be sure to not park in more than one space by not keeping within the lines of those spots. Please be considerate to those who park around you.

Additionally, please be aware of not to back into spots when parking your vehicles for any extended period of time. Temporary backing into a spot for unloading items from your vehicle is acceptable.  The City of Mesa Police Department has requested no backed in parking to allow them to do periodic drive through license plate checks. In addition, this will lessen the likelihood of damage to adjacent vehicles or to the roof supports. It will also present a conforming presence throughout the complex.

I am attaching a few pictures of what not to do when parking your vehicles. The first picture shows a vehicle parked over the line of a parking spot taking up a portion of another spot. The second and third picture shows a vehicle backed into and parked in a parking space. As mentioned above, only park forward into a parking spot. The last picture shows a vehicle not parked within the lines of its space and is partially blocking people from using the sidewalk.

I am sending this out to the owner community at Sun Valley Casitas. If you rent your unit, please make sure your tenants and renters are aware of the above items.

Thank you for your attention to these items. Adherence to these few things help make our community a better place for everyone to live.
